Horsham Matters is the action arm of Horsham Churches Together

Horsham Churches Together, is a group of 29 Christian Churches working together within the town of Horsham. You can find out more about Horsham Churches Together by clicking here.

Horsham Matters was set up in 2009 to enable the member churches to demonstrate God’s love and concern for the local community in a practical way.

Community Charity Centre

The Horsham Matters Community Charity Centre aims to make a difference by:

Reusing furniture and household goods that are no longer needed
Providing good quality second hand furniture, soft furnishings, white goods and household items at reasonable prices for everyone
Helping anyone who is unable to provide for themselves by offering a range of discounts
Assisting individuals in the local community by providing work experience within a supportive environment
Offering an affordable house clearance service

The Charity Centre is open for everyone to make purchases but a range of discounts is available to anyone who is unable to provide for themselves.

Donating Goods

We will take most items that are in a good clean condition with the appropriate safety labels. Unfortunately we cannot accept items that are damaged, stained or where the fire safety labels have been removed (even if you still have them). We accept most electrical items that are in a good working condition but find that larger television do not sell well and so may refuse these if we have a number in stock already.

Donations can be taken to our warehouse in Blatchford Road, Horsham any time during opening hours or we can collect, but reserve the right to charge a £10 disposal fee if the item is not suitable for sale.

Horsham Matters is a social enterprise that was set up by Horsham Churches Together in 2009. Our mission is to develop, commission and deliver services that enable the churches of Horsham District to offer practical support, demonstrating God’s love and concern for local residents – to show that Horsham matters.

Horsham Matters’ first venture is the Horsham Community Charity Centre in Guildford Road, Horsham, which accepts donated goods from local residents and offers them for sale at reasonable prices for anyone to purchase.

Horsham Matters seeks to use the money it raises from the Charity Centre to provide new services for local residents, particularly the more vulnerable members of the community. We have a number of plans which we hope to roll out over the next few months and we will also support other appropriate local initiatives by making grants and donations.
